KC3RC is designed for mine rescue operations. It integrates a red LED beacon into a cordless caplamp to achieve both normal illumination in front and flashing red warning on the back when worn on the side of the helmet. A very high light intensity is achieved by supplying a high operating current in 7-hours.
The illumination LED operates at either Main level for normal use or Auxiliary level for conservation of power. The warning beacon utilises 7 red LEDs behind a red scattering cover to enable wide angle viewing. You can use illumination only, beacon only or both.
The features of high light intensity and back warning light make it very suitable for underground mines rescue operations where both maximal illumination and warning are required if a 7-hour operation is sufficient.

Operations

1. Auxiliary illumination: for low illumination or longer duration
2. Main illumination: for general illumination.
3. Warning: Red flashing lamp on the back for warning.
4. Main illumination + Warning: Combination of Main illumination and Warning states.

Four operating states can be toggled by pressing the button switch. From the OFF condition, pressing the button turns the lamp ON to whatever condition it was in when turned OFF. Pressing the button again will now toggle to the next mode of operation. At any time, pressing the button and holding it for two seconds will turn the lamp OFF.

Side-mounting

Fit the lamp to a side lamp bracket

There are two ways to mount the lamp on a helmet and there are two side caplamp brackets in every package. The lamp is fitted in either side lamp bracket in the same way. Simply align the slot of the caplamp clip to the bracket bar and slide the lamp in.

Fit the side lamp bracket to a helmet

Insert model of bracket, SLBI, can be inserted in the slot of a helmet. It is suitable for a miner's helmet. Screw model of bracket, SLBS, can be screwed onto the brim of the helmet. It is suitable for any other helmets.

Adjustable angle

The bracket is adjustable in left-right direction to set a distance from the helmet so other attachments such as a visor will not block the light. The lamp is also angle adjustable in the forward-back direction to set the light projecting direction. Using the both bracket and lamp adjustments, all-around angle is achieved.
